Privacy Policy

How information supports your account, your service, and the care we take with your records.

1. Who we are

DortiGo Eco Services is a waste management business based in Bo, Sierra Leone. This policy explains how information is handled through our website, customer and staff portals, and related service communications.

For questions about your information, contact dortigoecoservices@gmail.com or call +232 31 844077.

2. Information involved in our services

  • Customer details: your name, contact information, collection address, account details, and optional information such as gender where you choose to provide it. Authorised staff may register a customer with that customer's agreement.
  • Service records: your selected plan, subscription dates, collection arrangements, appointments, enquiries, support conversations, and notifications.
  • Payment and refund records: amounts, dates, payment status, transaction references, receipt email, subscription links, and any payment receipt or supporting details you submit for a refund request.
  • Staff information: names, business contact details, assigned roles, account status, optional profile photographs, and records of actions performed in the staff portal.
  • Account and security information: sign-in and verification information, session records, activity logs, and request information used to protect accounts and prevent misuse. Our service providers also process technical information needed to deliver the website.

Keep payment credentials private. Never include your mobile-money PIN, password, verification code, or account recovery code in an enquiry, support ticket, or uploaded receipt. Complete payment authorisation only through the payment provider's official process.

3. How information is used

Information supports account registration and verification, collection planning, subscriptions, payment matching, receipts, appointments, customer support, refund reviews, and staff administration.

We also use records to investigate mistakes or disputes, detect misuse, maintain accurate financial and operational records, and send service messages such as verification emails, renewal receipts, appointment decisions, and ticket updates.

4. Access and service providers

Staff access is controlled by assigned roles and permissions. Depending on their duties, authorised staff may need your contact details, service address, collection information, payment records, or support history.

The website uses external services to operate:

  • Cloudflare: website hosting, request handling, and delivery.
  • Supabase: account authentication, the private database, and private uploaded files.
  • Resend: delivery of account and service emails.
  • Monime and the selected payment network: payment processing and payment-status confirmation. Information involved may include the payment amount, transaction references, and details needed for the chosen payment method.
  • Google Fonts: some website pages load fonts from Google, so your browser connects to that service to display them.

If live chat or another optional communication service is enabled, it may also process the messages and technical information needed to provide that service. When you choose a WhatsApp, Facebook, or LinkedIn link, the destination service handles information under its own policies.

These providers may process information in countries outside Sierra Leone. Information may also need to be disclosed to respond to a valid legal request or to investigate fraud or a security incident.

5. Cookies and browser storage

The portals use essential cookies and browser storage to maintain secure sessions, remember temporary interface state, and coordinate account changes across tabs. Blocking or clearing this storage can sign you out or interrupt portal features.

The customer and staff portals are configured to sign out after three minutes of inactivity. Closing a tab alone should not be treated as a substitute for signing out, especially on a shared device.

6. Retention and security

Account and service records are retained for the continuing service relationship and for related financial, dispute-resolution, security, and recordkeeping needs. Retention can differ by record type. Contact us if you want to know what information is held about your account or ask for its removal.

The system uses encrypted connections, authenticated access, staff permissions, and private file storage. These measures reduce risk; no online service can promise that information will never be lost or accessed improperly.

Removing access to an account does not necessarily erase its associated payment, service, or audit records. A request may need to preserve records required for an unresolved payment, dispute, or other continuing obligation.

7. Questions, corrections, and requests

You can ask us to review your information, correct an error, or consider deleting information that is no longer needed. We may ask you to verify your identity before sharing records or making a sensitive change.

Describe the request without sending a password, PIN, or verification code. We will explain if a record needs to be retained or if a requested change cannot be completed.
